I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn’t, than live my life as if there isn’t, and die to find out there is!

Spirtual Gifts or Natural Talents?

.
QUESTION:
What is the difference between spiritual gifts and natural talents?

Actually, there are a few important differences. Natural talents are from God but are transmitted through parents. Spiritual gifts come directly from God. (see 1 Corinthians 12:4; Romans 12:3,6) Natural talents are possessed from birth, but spiritual gifts are received when one becomes a Christian. Natural talents are used to benefit human beings on the natural level, and spiritual gifts bring spiritual blessing to people. (see 1 Corinthians 12:11)  There are also some similarities. Both natural talents and spiritual gifts must be developed and exercised for someone to become proficient in their use.  Both natural talents and spiritual gifts can be used for God's glory.  As an example, a Christian might have the spiritual gift of teaching and a natural talent for playing the piano. That person may exercise his/her spiritual gifts by writing and performing songs that teach about God.
